Unitalen Attorneys at Law took part in an IPR forum and a lawyer’s conference, held during the 8th Beijing Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium & Olympic Economy Market Promotion Conference.

The opening ceremony, held on 2 September in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, was presided by Liu Qi, secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC, Wang Qishan, mayor of Beijing city, and Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa etc. The participants discussed Beijing preparation for the Olympics and CEPA trade opportunities.

Within the symposium Beijing Intellectual Property Office organized a forum on IPR protection, in order to help Hong Kong business, scitech and law circles acquire profound knowledge about IPR activities in Beijing and deepen mutual understanding and communication in terms of IPR. At he same time, Beijing City Intellectual Property Department organized a law exchange conference, together with Hong Kong Intellectual Property Office, Hong Kong Customs, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and other representatives from the business and law circles.
