China’s World First in Trademark Application
China’s Trade and Industry Office announced that since 2002 the amount of trademark registration applications in China has risen to lead the country to the world’s leading position for two consecutive years now.

According to Xinhua report, the total amount of applications has reached 452 000 in 2003, and 268 000 in the first half of this year. Till the end of June this year China has registered 2,134 mln trademarks in total, which indubitably makes it the world leader.
