Wen Jiabao: Enterprises Should Change to Produce Independent IP Products

From August 22 to 24, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao made an investigation and research in Zhejiang’s economy, especially the situation for small and medium enterprises’ production and operation. In the investigation, Premier Wen stressed that, enterprises should exert themselves to change the ways of development, increase R&D investment, reinforce the technology reformation, expedite independent innovation and strive to build their own brand and products with independent intellectual property.

During the 2 days, Premier Wen investigated 11 firms in Lishui, Wenzhou and other places. He concerned about every firm’s difficulties and asked for suggestions. Mr. Wen has insisted that, enterprises not only need government’s guide and support, but also need to make arduous efforts and innovate themselves.

Premier Wen also presided two meetings during the investigation to hear principals of enterprises and reports by Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Provincial People’s Government. He noted that, the macroeconomic policy and package plan for international financial crisis specified by the central government should be comprehended thoroughly and exactly. The essence and core of the package plan is to solve restrictions on the framework for Chinese economic development, expedite ways of development and improve the quality and levels of the economic development.
